Karanbir Singh is a compassionate medical student at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, dedicated to making a positive impact on his community. He began his volunteering journey with KAVI, which is a nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn that helps battle violence against children of color. He began volunteering for the Toy House Foundation back in 2023 to give back to children in need and to help create moments of happiness for those facing difficult medical challenges. He was then given the title of President by the former founder for his continued dedication to community service. Karanbir said, “I want to help create moments of happiness for those facing difficult medical challenges.”
Ethan Cai is a caring and driven medical student at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, focused on making a difference in the lives of young patients. He volunteered for the Toy House Foundation to help alleviate the stress and fear that sick children and their families often experience. Ethan shared, “I believe that small acts of kindness, like providing toys and supplies, can bring comfort and hope to children during challenging times.”
Mohammad Waqas is a caring medical student at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients. He volunteered for the Toy House Foundation to help provide comfort and distraction to children undergoing challenging medical treatments. Mohammad believes that offering toys and supplies can help ease the anxiety and fear that often accompany serious illnesses, making the hospital experience a little brighter for these children.
Jerry Yue is a driven medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine, passionate about supporting vulnerable and underserved populations. He volunteered for the Toy House Foundation to bring smiles to the faces of children battling complicated and debilitating illnesses. In line with his passion for PM&R, he hopes that contributing to the Toy House Foundation will help provide moments of joy for children in their road to recovery.
Tahmid Khandaker is a devoted medical student at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, with a strong commitment to serving his community. His work with children includes tutoring those with special needs as well as raising awareness about autism through research. His emphasis on psychiatry and mental health is exemplified by his belief that small gestures such as donating toys can have a positive mental impact for the children of the Toy House Foundation.

Geoffrey Yang is an enthusiastic medical student at Rush Medical College, passionate about making a difference in the lives of children facing serious health challenges. After volunteering at Rush Children's Hospital, he decided to volunteer for the Toy House Foundation to continue providing emotional support to young patients during their hospital stays. Geoffrey believes that even small gestures, like donating toys, can have a powerful impact on a child's recovery and overall well-being.
Faisal Elali is a motivated fourth-year medical student at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine who is deeply committed to improving the lives of others.
